The recent news article chosen for this week, appeared in the Guardian, by author, Agence France-Presse, named, “Yemen airstrikes kill 31 civilians after Saudi jet crash”. It was reported that the Houthi rebels shot down one of the Riyadh jets and Saudi Arabia retaliated by air strikes on Yemen. The author reported that the shooting of the plane resulted in a direct upsurge in violence in northern Yemen between the warring parties which has only resulted in worsening the humanitarian crisis within the war battered country.
